Job Title: Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist 

Location: Remote (Must be licensed to practice in California)

Employment Type: Contract / Full-Time or Part-Time

 

Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) to provide high-quality teletherapy services to K-12 students across California. 

As a virtual SLP, you will manage a diverse caseload, conducting assessments and delivering therapy sessions via a secure video conferencing platform. Proficiency in SEIS (Special Education Information System) is required to ensure seamless compliance with California state standards.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Therapy: Provide individual and group speech and language therapy sessions virtually, adapting evidence-based practices to a remote environment.

Assessments: Conduct comprehensive evaluations (initial and triennial) to determine eligibility for services, focusing on differentiating between language disorders and language acquisition.

IEP Management: Lead and participate in virtual IEP meetings. Draft goals, progress reports, and legal documents using SEIS.

Collaboration: Consult with teachers, parents, and school psychologists to integrate speech goals into the student’s broader academic curriculum.

Compliance: Maintain meticulous daily SOAP notes and attendance logs in accordance with California Department of Education (CDE) guidelines.

Required Qualifications

Education: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.

Licensure: Valid California SLP State License (required).

Certification: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).

Technical Skills: * Demonstrated experience with SEIS.

Comfort using teletherapy platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meets, or proprietary software).

Strong reliable internet connection and a private, professional home office space.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience working in a California public school or charter school setting.

Familiarity with California-specific special education timelines and Ed Code.

Proven ability to engage students through a screen using interactive digital tools.
