You can set up mixed groups for therapy services for maximum success. In this video, we cover four ideas you can use for setting up your group. Those four ideas are:

  1. Have students of the same or similar ages.
  2. Have students of similar intellectual ability.
  3. Use students with different goals so they can model for each other.
  4. Consider having a student that is within normal limits attend the group to model for the other students. This can be a friend or someone that the child is already comfortable with. Be sure to check with the parents and the IEP team before inviting another student into the group.
