What costs does Lighthouse Therapy cover?
As a recruiter at Lighthouse Therapy, I’m often asked about the specifics of our compensation model. In this post, I’ll provide a detailed breakdown of what our therapists are paid for when working with us.
Base Hourly Rate
When you sign a contract with Lighthouse, we’ll offer you a base hourly rate. This rate covers a variety of services, including:
- Direct service time with students
- Parent and teacher communication
- IEP meetings
- Assessments
- Progress reporting
Flat-Rate Screenings
In addition to your base hourly rate, we also provide a flat-rate payment for student screenings. This is set at half an hour of your base hourly rate.
15% Bonus for Indirect Time
To account for the time you spend on documentation and planning, we add a 15% bonus on top of your total billed hours for direct service. This ensures you’re compensated fairly for all the work you do.
Payment for No-Shows and Late Cancellations
We understand that no-shows and late cancellations (less than 24 hours’ notice) are an unavoidable part of the job. That’s why we offer payment for that time, even though it doesn’t receive the 15% bonus.
Increased Rate for Group Work
When clinically appropriate, we encourage group therapy sessions. For these, you’ll be paid your base hourly rate, plus an additional 50% for each additional student in the group. The 15% bonus is then applied to the full base rate for each student.
Conclusion
At Lighthouse, we’re committed to providing fair and transparent compensation for our talented team of therapists. If you have any other questions about what we pay for, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to support you every step of the way.
