Clinically Appropriate Group Sizes

At Lighthouse, we believe in putting the needs of the students first. That’s why we limit our group therapy sessions to no more than 3 students at a time. This ensures that our therapists can provide personalized attention and effectively meet the unique needs of each individual.

Increased Compensation for Group Work

We understand that group therapy sessions come with an increased workload for our therapists. That’s why we offer additional compensation for this service. Specifically, therapists are paid their base hourly rate, plus an extra 50% for each additional student in the group.

15% Bonus on Full Base Rate

In addition to the increased per-student rate, we also apply a 15% bonus for indirect time to the full base rate for each student, not just the 50% increase. This means you’re fairly compensated for the planning and documentation required to deliver effective group therapy.

Lower Rates for Schools

It’s important to note that while our therapists receive the increased rate, the schools we partner with are charged a lower rate for group sessions. This ensures that our services remain affordable and accessible for the districts we serve.

Prioritizing Clinical Appropriateness

At the end of the day, our primary focus is on providing the best possible care for the students. We’ll never push group therapy if it’s not the clinically appropriate choice. Our therapists have the autonomy to determine the service delivery model that will yield the most positive outcomes.
