What does Lighthouse Therapy offer for hourly rates?
As a recruiter at Lighthouse Therapy, I’m often asked about the hourly rates we offer our therapists. In this post, I’ll provide a detailed breakdown of the compensation ranges for different disciplines, as well as the factors that influence those rates.
Hourly Rates by Discipline
At Lighthouse, we recognize that the hourly rate of our therapists varies based on their specific area of expertise. That’s why we offer the following hourly rate ranges:
- Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs): $45 to $55 per hour
- Occupational Therapists (OTs): $40 to $55 per hour
- School Counselors: $38 to $45 per hour
- School Psychologists: $45 to $60 per hour
It’s important to note that for school psychologists, there are two distinct rates – a base counseling rate and an increased hourly rate for assessments. This higher assessment rate reflects the additional skills and workload required for these specialized services.
Factors Influencing Hourly Rates
The hourly rates we offer are influenced by several key factors:
- Total Years of Experience: Your overall experience as a therapist plays a significant role in determining your compensation.
- Experience Serving School Students: If you have a proven track record of providing services to school-aged children, that will be reflected in your rate.
- Teletherapy Experience: Time spent delivering care via telehealth, outside of the pandemic, is also considered.
- Applicable Licensure: Being licensed in the state where you’ll be providing services can earn you a slight rate increase.
- Bilingual Services: If you’re able to offer services in multiple languages, particularly for students classified as bilingual, you’ll receive a second, increased hourly rate for those specialized skills.
