What if I find an in-person candidate after signing?
Acknowledging Schools’ Preferences
As the Director of Sales at Lighthouse Therapy, I understand that teletherapy isn’t always the first choice for school districts. We recognize that most schools prefer to have an in-person therapist work directly with their students. As therapists ourselves, we completely understand this preference.
Termination Policy Based on Contract Timing
So what happens if your school finds the perfect in-person candidate while under contract with Lighthouse Therapy? The answer depends on when you signed the contract with us. If you signed earlier in the year, we’ll provide you with a 30-day window from the date of signature to terminate the agreement.
Longer Transition Period for Later Contracts
However, if you signed the contract with us after August, we typically require a 90-day termination period before we can sever the agreement. This is because we’ve often already identified and assigned the ideal therapist to your school by that point in the year. Transitioning our therapists to a new placement takes a bit more time.
Prioritizing a Smooth Handoff
We understand that finding an exceptional in-person therapist is a top priority for many schools. While we’re happy to fill those gaps with our teletherapy services, we want to make sure the transition is as seamless as possible if you do locate your preferred provider.
Flexibility and Communication
Regardless of when you sign on with Lighthouse Therapy, we remain committed to open communication and flexibility during the contract termination process. Our goal is to support you in securing the best therapeutic solution for your students, whether that’s through our own teletherapy services or transitioning to an in-person clinician.
